Hey there Everyone,
I know it's been a while since I have blogged. Please accept my apologies. There's actually been a lot going on. I'm sure you heard that I will be working on my next album with Randy Jackson. Well that's true. We have been discussing the record and will hopefully start recording soon. Of course, I'll keep you posted.
The next big and newest thing in my life is a television show. Yep! I am so excited about this project. It's called "Making the Curve". Calling all my voluptuous ladies!!!! I told you that I'm still a big girl at heart!!! This show is for the fierce and talented because we will be putting together a singing group of 3 to 4 women. I know, right? Why hasn't this been done already? Well we're doing it! I want all my girls to bring it and sing the faces off of America. Finally, a show that says come as you are and show us what you've got! We just finished a round of pitch meetings in NY and they went really well. So say a prayer and stay tuned. I will not only be hosting the show but I'll be executive producing. So I am excited to broaden my career. This show will be amazing!!! I will keep you posted.
I am actually on a United flight (Carl is taking really good care of me!) headed to Rome to do a cruise with Atlantis on the Celebrity Solstice. I love these shows! I do 2 shows in the big theater and it is a blast!!!! Not to mention the theater is great and I love my gay audience!!!! Michael Orland who is my friend and musical director will be with me as well as my long-time friend Ryan (he's like mastercard- can't leave home without him). I always tell Ryan that he's my Lifesaver- the pineapple one!!!! We are going to have a blast. I'll post some pics when we return.
This summer I went to Camp Heartland camp and had so much fun with the kids in Malibu. What a great organization! I encourage you all to check out www.oneheartland.org. If you feel inclined to do so donate a dollar it goes a long way. Just think if the 60,000 fans I have on myspace donated $1 that would send a lot of kids to camp! I'm sure you're thinking that $1 couldn't possibly make a difference but it goes a long way! The kids come from all over the country to attend camp for free. So make a donation and you will have such a positive affect on a kids life! As Oprah says "pay it forward!"
I'll be appearing on an episode of Rachael Ray as well as the Tyra Banks Show. I know Rachael Ray is airing on Sept 14th but not sure on Tyra's air date. This was my first time on Rachael's show but I was so excited to meet her because we have the cooking thing in common. I love to cook!! :-D. As for Tyra, she has had me on so many times!! I love it that she thinks of me!!!!! She has always supported me. YOU MUST TUNE INTO THIS SHOW! IT'S A DOOZY!!! I had so much fun with her.
